The University Dance Forum’s celebration will be held Sunday the 17th of May in Iðnó. The house opens at 20:00 and we will dance into the night! Mr. Þorleikson’s band will play salsa- and swing-music. The Dance Couple of Iceland 2008 will have a show in the latin-dances and the boogie woogie advanced group will show the Austin Powers routine that has become world-famous on Facebook.
There will be a Jack’n'Jill competition in swing (and kind of swing, it’s even possible to blend the dances). In a Jack’n'Jill competition a leader and a follower are paired together randomly a couple of times and judged individually until the final round, then the couple is judged rather than the individuals. A magnificent prize will be awarded to the winners! Unfortunate souls can drink to forget at the bar. This a very non-serious competition and we encourage everybody to sign up, either at hrafnkell.palsson[hja]haskoladansinn.is or at the celebration.
The entrance fee is a measly 1.500 kr.
